Kilbarrack station, was built in the 60s.
It is a standard DART station it has information screens shelters. It's in a doggy area and is scary sometimes.Fare evasion is common.its also heavily vandalised and is a utter utter kip, this isn't Iarnrod Eireann's fault as the locals seem to discourage this excellent service. As part of my school project,I went around the local stations. Irish rail seem to have done everything they can to help the station, but they aren't helping this matter.
Back to the station,it was built in 1969 to serve the new housing districts in the area.It was a standard station for its time.A small shed for a ticket office, footbridge and up and down platforms. In 1984,the station was given a new footbridge and station building/ticket office(a proper one this time). In 2005,an extra acessable footbridge was added along with an extra entrance along with platform upgrades.
